Timothy Carl Means (born February 20th 1984) is an American professional mixed martial artist from Moriarty, New Mexico currently competing in the Welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. A professional fighter since 2004 Means has previously participated with King of the Cage and Legacy FC. Means was the previous King of the Cage Lightweight Champion, and also an earlier King of the Cage Junior Welterweight Champion.
Means was set to fight the newcomer to promotion Abel Trujillo on September 1 on the 1st of September, 2012, at UFC 151. After UFC 151 was cancelled, the fight was rescheduled to December 8th, 2012 at UFC on Fox 5. The day of the weigh-ins, Means fell in a hotel sauna, which injured his head. He was substituted with Marcus LeVesseur.
Means made his UFC debut on February 15, 2012, defeating Bernardo Magalhaes by unanimous decision at UFC on Fuel TV 1.
After his release from the UFC, Means was called to replace Danny Salinas in the main event against Pete Spratt on September 13, 2013, at Legacy FC 23. He won via first-round knockout . He won the title for his debut in KOTC: Steel on Oct. 7, 2010, when he beat Bobby Green to win the KOTC Junior Welterweight (160 pounds) belt. The belt was up for grabs at four times, the most recently , in an opening round TKO win against Mario Ramos at KOTC: High Performance on November. 19 2011. He also won to his KOTC Lightweight title following the victory in the first round over Tye Brown during KOTC: Total Destruction on Jan. 21 2012.
