Raghib Ramadian “Rocket” Ismail, a retired American football player from both American and Canadian football. He was born November 18, 1969. He was a wide receiver and kick returner who rose to prominence while playing college football for Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Then he joined the Canadian Football League (CFL), 1993-1992, and then the National Football League(NFL) in 2001.
Ismail joined Argonauts just in time for 1991’s season. In his first game, he returned a kick of seventy-three yards in a reverse with Michael Clemons. Ismail finished his rookie season at Grey Cup 79. His Argonauts beat the Calgary Stampeders by a score of 36-21. He was awarded the Grey Cup Most Valuable Player and a touchdown of 87 yards on a kickoff return. He was just fifty yards away from breaking the franchise record for single-season kickoff returns yardage set by his teammate Clemons. He also made the 1991 All-Star Team as a wide receiver and finished second to Jon Volpe for rookie player of the year.
The projected first overall selection in the 1991 NFL Draft, Ismail decided at the last minute to sign a record contract with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League starting during their 1991 season. As a result, he was chosen by the Los Angeles Raiders with the 100th overall pick in the draft.

In 1996 the Panthers, under head coach Dom Capers, finished 12–4, but Ismail recorded a career-low 214 yards receiving, without a single touchdown. In 1997 he recorded 419 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
