Simmes began wrestling in World Championship Wrestling in late 1991. This was a branch of the NWA called Jim Crockett Promotions. She fought Linda Dallas and Kat LeRoux.

Simmes fought on the independent circuit after the NWA eliminated the women’s division in late89. She eventually joined the Ladies Professional Wrestling Association. She and Heidi Lee Morgan were Team America, and they won the LPWA Tag Team Championships. They lost to The Glamour Girls.

Simmes fought for the American Wrestling Association during a 10-woman battle royal at WrestleRock86 on April 20, 1986. Sherri Martel won the match.
