Mike Hass is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on January 2, 1983 in Portland, Oregon, United States. On September 4, 2006, the Chicago Bears signed Hass onto their practice roster. He was there all season and was finally signed to the active roster by the Chicago Bears on February 8, 2007. He made a touchdown catch during the preseason finale. On September 1, 2007, he was named the Bears’ sixth wide receiver.

Although some pre-draft analysis had Hass projected as a third or fourth round pick, he was selected in the sixth round (171st overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.

At the 2006 NFL Combine, Hass (unofficially) ran a 4.61 second 40-yard dash, a relatively slow time for a wide receiver, but was reportedly very impressive during the pass catching drills.

In 2005, Hass won the Fred Biletnikoff award and was named an AP and Walter Camp All-American. He was invited to attend the 81st East-West Shrine Game, where he recorded four receptions of 107 yards, including a game-winning touchdown.

From 2003 to 2005, Hass was an Oregon State University starting wide receiver. He was a great player in high school but most college scouts thought his small stature and slow speed would hinder him from excelling at the college level. Hass was offered a walk-on scholarship at Oregon State. He was a part of several special teams in 2002 and received a scholarship. On July 27, 2006 Hass signed a three-year contract with the Saints, details were undisclosed. He recorded three receptions for 28 yards in his first preseason game on August 12 against the Tennessee Titans. However, he was released by the Saints on September 3, 2006.
