The lead singer of seven members of the Christian youth band Casting Crowns. He was awarded many Gospel Music Awards nominations in 2007 and 2008 and won Male Vocalist of Year and Song of the Year.

Casting Crowns began as the student worship band that Hall formed while he was serving at First Baptist Daytona Beach in 1999. Other members at that time included: Juan DeVevo (guitar), Melodee DeVevo (vocals and violin), Hector Cervantes (guitar), and Darren Hughes (production manager).
