At the age of 2, Lexi was put in her first skis by her parents. She was a keen ski racer growing up. She competed on the Sun Valley ski team, and qualified for the Junior Olympics twice in succession. She was part of the University of Colorado Free Style Team and placed in the Top 10 overall in 2009, 2010. She qualified first at Revelstoke and was fourth at the Red Bull Cold Rush in 2012.
In 2010, Eddie Bauer signed duPont to the First Ascent team. She was featured in “Tracing Skylines” in 2013, for which she was nominated at the Powder Awards for “Best Female Performance”. In addition, she was featured on National Geographic’s “Powder Highway Webisodes.”
Holley and Chris duPont’s three daughters, duPont were born in Sun Valley in Idaho. She moved to Beverly in Massachusetts to study at Endicott College, but she decided to continue her education at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she studied fine art. Through the Semester at Sea study abroad program, duPont circumnavigated around the globe in 2010 with Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Her artwork, which she graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2014. It is now on permanent display at The American Indian College Fund in Denver.
