Filiberto Rivera (born on September 28th 1982) Also called “Fili”, is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player who is a member of Santeros de Aguada of the BSN in Puerto Rico. Rivera has played for the NCAA, NJCAA and the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) as well as international basketball with the BSN in Germany as well as Italy. Rivera has been a part of the Puerto Rican National Team since 2006.
Rivera was a standout in his college career, where Rivera received the honor of the First Team NJCAA All-American, Junior College Player of the Year (2002-03) and was named First Team All-WAC in his senior and junior seasons. He is ranked third on the University of Texas El Paso all-time lists of the number of career assist (381)and the percentage of free-throws (.815).
