In 1982, Cremin began recording and performed in music, first as part of Baton Rouge (Atlantic EastWest Records) before becoming a guitarist for Vincent Rocco (Elektra Records). Cremin then formed Vis-a-Vis Entertainment, Inc. Recording and representing a range of artists, including Michael Wolff (The Arsenio Hall Show, Sony Music), Downset (Mercury/Polygram Records) and For Love Not Lisa (EastWest Records). He also recorded and produced the album Engines of Aggression (Priority Records) and Ether (Criminal Records). In the wake of Vis-a-Vis Entertainment, Cremin began his venture capital career in the year 1998 by when he co-founded Zone Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm that was focused on ventures in media technology where he was in charge of managing funds, fund raising as well as due diligence and deal sourcing. At Zone Ventures, he helped manage an investment in DivX, a compression and distribution company which was successful in its IPO (Nasdaq:DIVX which was later purchased from Sonic Solutions [Nasdaq: SNICthat was later purchased by Rovi (Nasdaq: ROVI)). He also was a trustee of The BizWorld Foundation in San Francisco from 1999 to 2010.
The year 2002 was the time that Cremin founded Frontier along with Scott Lenet and Draper Fisher Jurveston. He was instrumental in guiding investment into DivX (NASDAQ:DIVX), Prolacta Bioscience, Big Frame (DreamWorks), AudioMicro (Zealot Networks), Clear Access (Cisco), MaxPreps (CBS) among others. Cremin is currently on board of MomentFeed, UCode, Livelist and Ticketsauce.
